HILLARY H. SHINE
Hillary Shine formed Shine Associates, LLC in 2012. Hillary combines over 12 years of commercial real estate and finance investment experience with an extensive network of relationships to partner with her clients. In 2010, Hillary left the commercial real estate investment industry to bring her experience and knowledge to the executive search and consulting industry. Ms. Shine was previously a Managing Director with Commonfund Realty, Inc. in Wilton CT, responsible for investor and consultant relations for 290 non-profit institutional investors in a $1.6 billion private real estate fund. During her 10 year tenure at Commonfund she was involved with capital raising of more than $1 billion in equity commitments and working with joint venture and operating partners across the United States.
Hillary has been an expert speaker and on panels for NAREIM, OPAL Financial and IMN. Prior to Commonfund, Hillary was a Financial Advisor Associate at Sanford Bernstein in New York City and an Associate with Morgan Stanley. Hillary attended Brigham Young University and graduated as a Bernard Flaxman Scholar from the University of Hartford with a BS in Economics. She is actively involved in NAIOP, PREA and ICSC (and has previously held Series 7, 63 licenses).
TIMOTHY M. SHINE
Tim Shine joined Shine Associates, LLC in 2014 as a Principal. Tim is responsible for new business development and executing senior executive searches nationally. He has over 30 years of experience that includes capital raising, asset/portfolio management and development. Throughout his career, Tim has built and developed several successful teams. This experience coupled with his deep knowledge of the asset class and his national relationships uniquely qualify him in this role.
Tim was Managing Principal at Parmenter Realty Partners until 2014, responsible for capital initiatives including Fund, co-investment and separate account capital. Prior to joining Parmenter, he was Managing Director and Co-Head at Commonfund Realty. His responsibilities included operations and asset management, as well as investor relations. Tim was also at CB Richard Ellis Investors (formerly TCW Realty Advisors) where he oversaw a portfolio of more than $4 billion in assets.
Tim has a Bachelor of Arts Science in Finance from the University of Connecticut. He is active with PREA, NAREIM, ULI and NAIOP and IREI.
DAVID M. SLYE
David Slye joined Shine Associates LLC in 2018 as Managing Director and is responsible for new business development and executing mid to senior level searches. He has over 30 years of experience in real estate services, having held key roles in management, leadership, business development, and client relations. Throughout his career, David has created, restructured, built and led many successful teams across various companies and service lines with the focus of creating value for owners/investors and occupiers of real estate.
Prior to joining Shine Associates, David was President/CEO of NAI Hunneman, responsible for the company’s strategic reorganization and the oversight of all service lines including brokerage, capital markets, property management, appraisal, construction management, and advisory. Prior, he served as Executive Managing Director/Market Director at JLL (formerly Jones Lang LaSalle) overseeing the performance and setting the long-term direction for the New England region, including all its business lines and over 300 employees. Also within JLL, David served as a Managing Director of the firm’s National client relations and business development team. Before its merger with JLL, David was Principal of Spaulding & Slye Colliers serving in executive roles in both client relations and business development, and heading the Leasing Team for New England.
David received a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College. He has served in various capacities, including Board seats, for NAI Global, NAIOP, GBREB, Boston Chamber of Commerce, and Government Properties Trust Advisors. David is actively involved as a trustee of FCD Prevention Works, and as a regional advisory board member of the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.
KELSEY E. SHINE
Kelsey graduated in 2011 from Sacred Heart University with a BA in Sociology and in 2012 completed her Masters Degree. She played four years of Division I golf while attending Sacred Heart University. Kelsey has attended several NAIOP Emerging Leaders and CREW events to continue to develop her knowledge of the industry.
Kelsey joined Shine Associates in 2013 as an Associate and is responsible for junior level searches and has successfully executed:

- Property Management Roles
- Administrative Roles
In addition, she assists with search coordination, candidate research and administration for senior level searches. Kelsey is a member for Heading Home’s Outreach Council and is an integral member of their volunteer committee.
